Nightmares!

Time for another competition with virtual amazing prizes. As today is National Poetry Day I thought it would be appropriate to launch "La_spice Bloglit Poetry Competition.

Here are those all important rules.

You can only submit one poem.

The poem must be your own work.

It must not have been published.

To enter you most post your poem on your own blog on Saturday 13th October At the same time you must send me a private message to let me know that you are entering the competition this is very important as your poem could otherwise be overlooked.

The theme for the competition is NIGHTMARES

As always, judging will be done by an independent judge whose decision will be final.

PS: As this blog doesn't yet attract many visitors please feel free to pass this information on to your blogfriends - thanx!

Go on have a bash - you might give yourself a pleasant surprise. :yes:

Start with the theme of Nightmare and let your imagination go.

Then start by writing two lines that rhyme with each other - then keep adding pairs of lines and build up a story/image.

I refuse to enter any competition if I am not told what the prize is, I must know what I won't win.
Now I will have to Google 13th cent poetry to find some thing that no one will know and then claim that I have written it.
Spirit, as last times winner should have a handicap of at least 10 points.

Doh! I wrote my poem, came here to check the rules, and now I find I can't enter because I won't be here on the 13th. Instead I'll be en route to the States.

So the poem wot I rote
won't matter a groat!
All that effort down the drain
Cos I'll be on a plane
