Ladies' Underwear!

by Arnica @ 2007-11-21 - 15:55:17

A theory.

This one is for the men!

To be fair, I did blog about the Firemen Calendar the other day!

A friend of mine has a theory. He reckons that the more conservative a woman dresses on the outside, the more frivolous her underwear will be. That set me thinking so I thought I'd better check this one out with my blogfriends.

So guys, in your experience , is this true or untrue?

bra

Being someone who dresses quite conservatively I cannot possibly comment!

ps For the ladies - don't miss How To Look Good Naked on Channel4 at 8pm tonight.

I suspect your friend has either been very lucky, or he knows a completely different class of woman to me...

Nah,… I have found that the less confidant a women is or the more down trodden a woman feels the more conservative their underwear will be...I think that women wear nice lingerie to make them feel good about themselves rather than for their partner...if it they dress up for their partner it is usually way over the top and not their normal attire.

*Ok dont shout at me you asked*

Nobody's shouting but I think that your's is a different argument to his theory.

By "conservatively dressed" he didn't in any way mean dowdy or down trodden.

Thanks for joining the debate!

My underwear is plain and functional...

Mmm - I'm not sure how that affects the theory? Would your outer garments be called conservative or not? :??:

They are traditional.

Or jeans.

Then the theory is flawed!

I don't consider myself down-trodden or lacking in confidence.

I do have very little interest in clothes and as long as I'm tidy, appropriately dressed and comfortable, I'm not bothered.

As I said to jackfrost above ^^^^ "By conservatively dressed he didn't in any way mean dowdy or down trodden"

In my opinion individuality and personal choice is the all important thing.

(Oh and my friend's theory was mainly tongue in cheek!)

Ditto. And my wardrobe is conservative.

Hmmm - *considers business suit and asks, in hopeful voice* Would your friend describe big mummy pants as frivolous?
