First things first:

Right, why don't we sit a while and watch the wild flowers grow.

Here's our first view of the estuary. Notice the fishing nets?
See how golden the rushes are and just look at the size of that driftwood!
This is the first lamb I've seen since arriving here over six years ago.
He seems to be enjoying the camera attention.
This is the port at Mortagne sur Gironde - we'll get out and stretch our legs for a while.
Now we'll walk towards the end of the port - remind me to put my walking boots in next time!
The deep channels and the mud banks look very dangerous at low tide.
This channel is one of many to accommodate the water when it's in full swell.
This is an even bigger sluice gate.
Here's another view of the port as we make our way back to the car.
Feeling thirsty? Well this is definitely not a "teasmaid". Don't worry we're nearly back home now.
