Yuk, yuk,yuk!
Tonight I'm baby-sitting whilst my son-in-law collects my daughter from the airport. After commandeering an old lappie to get online I decided a cup of coffee was in order.
I even found two pieces of Lindt chocolate to go with it - perfect!
Little did I realise that the storage jar next to the jar of coffee contained coarse sea salt!!!! Yes you've guessed it - I put a teaspoon of it in my coffee.
I do hope it wasn't my son-in-law's idea of a joke!
He wouldn't - would he?
It's only a number!
My granddaughter simply loves writing both numbers and letters. Yesterday she was talking about age and said "I'm number six and Louis is number four, what number are you?"
I quickly remembered that as a child I never knew how old my mum was and wouldn't have dreamt of asking - you just didn't!
So I thought, "honesty is the best policy" and said "I'm five and nine, fifty-nine". I nearly added I'm nearly ten times as old as you but that made me feel old - anyway she's only just started learning multiplication! On top of which I've only just turned 59!
A little later she said "so Grandma you're nine and five"
Now I know they're only numbers but I had to put her straight!
Well you can't blame me!
