....another one opens" is a well known expression.

Just the other day I came across this in French:

J'ai fait un long voyage.
C'etait la fin d'un autre reve,
Et le commencement d'un autre espoir.

Roughly translated it says:

I went on a long journey.
It was the end of another dream,
And the beginning of another hope.
