In honour of your birthday you are invited to have dinner with me

Separate Tables

At seven pm I dressed with care
Put on my perfume, brushed my hair
I lit the candles dead on eight
He was there waiting, he wasn’t late
We discussed what we would like to eat
The choice of wine the cut of meat
The starter, pudding and the cheese
We planned it all with such great ease
We said it was good to share a meal
We laughed and talked it was surreal
We discussed all sorts of things together
The world, its people and of course the weather!
Then midnight came we made our goodbyes
Two virtual diners under the starry skies
We both agreed to meet again
Next week come sun or snow or rain
Same tables, same time, same place
We’d meet for dinner in cyberspace

I have ever heard through the years.
I am deeply humbled and much honoured to receive such
compliments from a brilliant poet, songwriter, but most of all passionate and kind woman of grace and class,
like a fine merlot, it just get better with age.
It is indeed a privilege to sit across La belle_Spice madamoisselle as i greeted you with two cheeks kiss,
discreetly sensing your perfumed neck and pulls your chair as you sit proper and elegantly before my eyes.
Then we sat, yes, and talked about the weather and the world but I hope you didn't read my eyes,
as they were saying anything but... that perfumed
hair, the lovely face aglows by the softlit candles, the ......
It was indeed a fine evening, fine wine and lovely dinner, the next one even lovelier!
