Well this morning I thought I'd finally started on the slippery slope to senility
It was breakfast time and with milk in short supply for cereals and no croissants left I decided that toast and marmalade was the next best option.
And that's when I thought "I've lost it" "where on earth has the bread gone?" I first looked in the obvious places then thought "perhaps I've finally gone do-lally?" That's when the logical me jumped out (a bit like the Green Cross Code Man) and said "think - when did you last have it?"
This system is tried and tested and is one I've tried to pass down to my children and grandchildren. So I quickly remembered. On Friday my grandson had asked if he could have some "soft bread" (as opposed to toast) and had simply put the packet back on a shelf that he could reach more easily (which was at my knee level).
I can't believe I was almost on the verge of looking in the washing machine!!!!
STOP.....LOOK.....LISTEN!
