Yes that's right - that's exactly what I am

Good job I haven't got a ~~hot~~ ~~any~~ date tonight 'cos my hot water isn't working. I've just finished bringing some more logs from the log store. I have cleaned the grate and lit a fire. Now all I need is a nice long soak but that's not going to happen this side of 2009!

So if you think that life in France is all sunshine and wine? then think again. I will shortly be ~~shivering in the bathroom~~ having a strip wash in front of the fire.

C'est la vie!

Happy New Year!

I am having a long weekend in Paris this weekend... can't wait! Saturday I will be visting museums etc in Paris, and Sunday I will be in Disneyland.

Not much worse than no hot water at this time of year other than no heating.

Had a shower a few weeks back. Am still recovering. Had a strip wash in the sink just before Christmas. Then rolled in the snow to warm up a bit. Tin bath in front of the kitchen stove sounds a good idea. Woodpile rapidly shrinking due to inclement meteorological conditions up here in the hills. Tough life this living in France. All the best for a thunderingly good '09.
